Facilitadorxs profesionalxs procedentes de toda Europa organizar\u00e1n workshops de un d\u00eda con diferentes estructuras dependiendo de los participantes. Algunos ser\u00e1n en ingl\u00e9s, y algunos en espa\u00f1ol. Los talleres tendr\u00e1n lugar en Madrid los jueves 26 y viernes 27 de octubre. La fecha l\u00edmite para solicitar becas ha pasado el 30 de julio, pero si se est\u00e1s en Madrid o est\u00e1s dispuestx a financiar tu viaje y alojamiento, puedes registrarte para participar.\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

victims, perpetrators and the collective self ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

For many people in Europe an exclusive collective memory and a feeling of belonging to a \u00abnation\u00bb plays a key role within their self-understanding. For a number of regions this type of perception goes along with the victimisation of the collective self: the world outside the respective collective appears hostile and is identified as consisting of (potential) perpetrators. What needs are expressed by this type of self-understanding? How can we narrate the past to encounter these needs and offer an alternative approach?<\/p>\n

Intersectionality in practice ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Here is a chance to move beyond the theory of intersectionality by finding ways to practice social justice organising with more rigour and competence. We will think about how better connect our struggles in our fight towards long-term change, and take steps to make your activism -and your life- more intersectional.\u00a0Through this workshop participants will gain a working understanding of intersectional organising; they will create a set of commitments for relating to their own work\/life and will access tools and exercises to build their confidence in this area. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ciberseguridad para activistas (DIY) SPA <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Este ser\u00e1 un taller sobre privacidad y seguridad digital con una\u00a0perspectiva cr\u00edtica y hol\u00edstica. Est\u00e1 especialmente dirigido a\u00a0activistas y personas que trabajan en colectivos sociales, que quieran\u00a0mejorar sus pr\u00e1cticas digitales y repensar sobre estos temas. Mapearemos\u00a0y analizaremos nuestras rutinas digitales, identificaremos riesgos y\u00a0buscaremos juntas discursos, estrategias y herramientas con las que afrontar vulnerabilidades ya cotidianas.\u00a0La metodolog\u00eda del taller es eminentemente pr\u00e1ctica y se desarrollar\u00e1\u00a0mediante din\u00e1micas de reflexi\u00f3n-acci\u00f3n colectiva, juegos y t\u00e9cnicas\u00a0teatrales, sin hacer uso directo de tecnolog\u00edas o software…<\/p>\n

iHopp - digital storytelling ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

It aims at creating a dialogue platform to facilitate integration of new arrivals and the local community members. During two rounds of workshops in Gothenburg, more than 20 participants shared their stories. We would like to screen a selection of the digital stories and share the reflection and learning from our experience. We will invite participants to share their stories as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Community strategies against institutional racism ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Create a network of municipalities to develop tools and share experiences against institutional racism. Find common strategies of disobedience against racist policies from state governments among activists, human rights lawyers, cultural agents, scholars and councillors. Create a pan-european anti-racist movement with a common agenda.<\/p>\n

Building a Local Artists-at-Risk (AR) Residency Network ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

A workshop by and for all who want to work with artists, critics, curators and theorists who have to flee their country of origin. These art practitioners are \u201cat risk\u201d for a reason – they are living on the rough edges of the permissible in their home countries: artistically, culturally, socially, politically. Building a local AR-Residency network involves artistic, activist, legal, psychological and curatorial partners and infrastructures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Funding the Cooperative City ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

The research and networking project \u201cFunding the Cooperative City\u201d aims at exploring the emerging landscape of collaborative economy initiatives: Faced with austerity measures, privatisation and financialisation community groups and citizen initiatives started to organise their own services and spaces. These initiatives are increasingly using local communities, crowd resources and new, ethical financial actors to invest in their activities<\/span>. In this workshop participants will not only \u00a0learn about these emerging community finance initiatives \u00a0but will be supported in evaluating their own economic and financial needs, and identify their potential partners. Understand points of connection in order to create an Europe-wide tissue of community finance<\/span><\/p>\n

The Brexit Crisis: Building TransEuropean Perspectives ENG <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

This workshop will seek to develop dialogues between activists across Europe, sharing experiences and perspectives. It will review the current state of Brexit negotiations, outline how progressive Remainers in the UK are challenging the nationalist and neoliberal agenda of their government, explore opportunities for common action, and reflect on the possibilities opening up for a better Europe. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The examples of Spanish municipalism exemplify that cities are at the forefront of democratic innovation and resistance against austerity politics: Changing relationships between active citizenship, social movements and administration lead to new ways of doing politics. After a short introduction we will discuss on how to use and further develop a digital mapping tool for cities of change which has been co-created by European Alternatives. How can we understand the mapping itself as a process of commoning and use synergies between existing networks to gather information on examples of new municipalism? <\/span><\/p>\n
